The Community Facilitator will be an integral member of our team as Grow Remote continues to grow and to work towards our mission of driving fundamental change throughout Ireland. They will be a key member of our growing Community team and will support our Community Manager in building, developing and supporting the Grow Remote community.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the General Manager and/or the Community Manager, the Community Facilitator will play a key role in achieving Grow Remote’s Community Strategy. Grow Remote is a community development organisation and our chapters of remote communities are at the centre of everything we do. This is an exciting time for Grow Remote as we continue to grow our community and the Community Facilitator will play an integral role in achieving our aims and objectives.
Job Description Details:
Work closely alongside the Community Manager to support and facilitate the achievement of the Grow Remote community strategy. This includes growing chapter membership, expanding theri chapter community, and driving increased chapter engagement and activity
Provide support and guidance to chapters and other elements of the community to help them to identify and achieve their goals
Support the recruitment and onboarding of new chapters including the processing of new applications
Provide enablement support to Grow Remote chapters to run events in their local community, with a view to increasing community engagement in their areas
Create resources for community members including presentations, graphics and other materials that can be leveraged by chapters when engaging with their local communities
Provide support for various Grow Remote community events and act as a representative of Grow Remote at events. Example events include a Jobs Club, weekly Virtual Coffee, and Ask me Anything sessions on relevant topics.
Collect data from chapters and members in order to measure the impact of community activities.
Support the management of the online community platforms, including Slack, internal Wiki, onboarding training course for chapters and some social media elements.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
At least three years experience in community development, community engagement, community management, community support, or another relevant role.
The ability to relate to and connect with people from diverse backgrounds within the community
Experience in coordinating, planning and supporting events both online and in-person
Experience creating high quality and engaging resources, including presentations and other graphics (videos, posters etc.)
Highly developed communication and organisational skills, including the ability to work to deadlines and manage a varied workload
Proven ability to pick up a project and run with it – be a self-starter
Experience in building relationships in a community setting, including strong relationship management skills
Experience of working to objectives or targets
Consistent excellence in verbal & written communications in English
A relevant third level qualification at Bachelor’s level
Flexible, warm & friendly personality who can work well in a team environment

Curiosity
Ability to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and ethical fibre
Previous experience with a social enterprise would be an advantage
