"The launch of SERI's Practitioner Council is important because SERI is intent on representing the sector, recognising the immense diversity of background, gender, geographical location, but also experience and knowledge. We are proud to launch our Practitioner Council and look forward to working together towards an exciting future for the social enterprise sector in Ireland." Fergus Finlay, Chair, SERI
SERI recently put out a call to our membership base for individuals to join our Practitioner Working Group. The aim of the group is to advise and inform the future direction of SERI, based on the lived experience of the practitioners who work tirelessly to create social impact.
We were thrilled with the response and are delighted to today introduce the group to our members and the wider social enterprise community. We know that SERI will hugely benefit from the experience, opinions, and expertise within this diverse group from a range of locations, backgrounds, and demographics.
The Social Enterprise Practitioners Working Group will have three functions
1. To design, develop and establish a formal Practitioner Council (PC)
2. To provide input into the strategic direction and operational objectives of SERI
3. To agree on the nominations process for Practitioner members to the board
