WIT has recently secured Government July Stimulus funding to offer 25 free places* on the Certificate in Social Enterprise Management.
* The programme is free to unemployed people, returners and those in receipt of PUP. However, people who are in employment or have recently graduated are required to pay €220 to complete the programme.
The Certificate in Social Enterprise Management (30 Credits, Level 7) is a special purpose award, which aims to develop participants' knowledge, skills, self-confidence, and effectiveness as managers of social enterprises. Throughout this course, participants will develop an understanding of how to manage a social enterprise and the role of the social enterprise manager. The lecturers will challenge the participants to become positive agents of change with their individual social enterprise context.
The programme will be delivered online on Fridays (9 am-3 pm) from October 2021 to April 2022 (inclusive) and comprises the following modules:
Introduction to Social Enterprise
Financial Management and Governance for Social Enterprises
Human Resource Management for Social Enterprises
Leadership and Management of Social Enterprises
Marketing, PR and Communications for Social Enterprise
